Jan Kounen is a French director, producer and screenwriter, born on 2 May 1964 in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Biography
Kounen studied at the School of Decorative Arts in Nice, where he filmed his first short films. In 1988 he obtained the National Superior Diploma of Visual Expression. In the 1990s he produced several commercials in France, Germany and the United Kingdom, among these ads of Nuts, Peugeot 806, Tang, Gordon's Gin, Miko, Adidas, Smirnoff, Toyota, Bacardi Rigo, Bass, etc. He also made several video clips four of them for the band Synth pop Erasure.
