José Felipe de Busiñac


José Felipe de Busiñac y Borbón (? - 1680) was an architect, master mason, sculptor, stonemason and factory master of French origin who developed his work in Aragon, Spain. Infanzón, brother of the architect Jaime de Busiñac.

Member of the Brotherhood of masons of Zaragoza from 1656 to 1673, a period in which he enjoyed great prestige. He became master builder at La Seo de Zaragoza. Of all the works in that city, in addition to La Seo and its tower, include the reconstruction of the Puente de Piedra in 1659, the completion of the House of Francisco Sanz de Cortés, the intervention in the Palace of the Counts of Arguillo and the building of the temple and the chapel of San Antonio de Padua in San Ildefonso. It is also worth mentioning the construction of the Convent of Our Lady of Carmen and the project of the works of El Pilar de Zaragoza, which finally underwent numerous changes before being executed.

Of the rest of the works in the province of Zaragoza, the convent of La Concepción in Borja deserves mention.
