Harry Towb


Harry Towb (Larne, July 27, 1925 - London, July 24, 2009) was a Northern Irish actor.

Towb was the son of a Russian father and an Irish mother and went to school in Belfast. He started appearing at a traveling theater company in Ireland and England. In London's West End, he played in the music performance of Bar Mitzvah Boy. He also participated in A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum at the 2004 National Theater. Towb performed a lot for television, including The Avengers, Casualty, The Bill, Lesser, Doctor Who and Heartbeat. Among his numerous movie appearances are The Blue Max, Above Us the Waves, Patton and Lamb.

In December 2008, Towb still performed in two episodes of the London soap EastEnders as David, the fiancé of Janine Butcher.
