Mardecin is in the fantasy series the Rad des Time, written by Robert Jordan, a fictional town on the border between Amadicia and Tarabon.
Mardecin is right on the border with Tarabon. Due to the lawlessness in the neighboring country, the town has long been a garrison city of the White Jackets. The Seanchan occupiers, however, capture them and then settle with soldiers and settlers in the town.
Mardecin is especially famous because, during their flight from Tanchico (Tarabonse capital), Elayne Trakand and Nynaeve Almaeren are robbed by resident Ronde Macura to deliver them to the Aes Sedai around Elaida do Avriny a'Roihan. Round Macura later supports the Seanchans.
