Nükhetsezâ Hanımefendi was the mother of Sultan Mustafá IV. He acted as the Bash Iqbal (which in Turkish means "the lucky head") in the harem of Abdul Hamid I until his son ascended the throne. As Ayşe Sine was the first wife of the late Abdul Hamid I, Nükhetsezâ Hanımefendi was not allowed to be a Valide Sultan, despite being the head of the harem. Nükhetsezâ Hanımefendi lived until 1850, 22 years older than Ayşe Seniyeperver, dying at the age of 90.
