H.K. (Rika) Pot (New Pekela, March 22, 1950) is a Dutch mayor and member of the PvdA. Life and work
Pot began her political career in 1990 as an elder in Marum. In 1999 she became Director of the School Guidance Service of the Province of Drenthe. This lasted until 2002, when she became Ten Boer mayor. When Emme Groot exchanged the Mayor of Appingedam for Delfzijl, Rika Pot was appointed acting mayor in Appingedam on September 1, 2008. Half a year later, she was finally installed as mayor of this municipality. In Ten Boer, she was succeeded by André van de Nadort.
As Pot announced at the end of 2016, it ended on March 1, 2017. As of April 1, 2017, Anno Wietze Hiemstra was appointed Mayor of Appingedam.
