Solidary contributor

A solidarity contributor is a natural or legal person practicing farming on a small scale. This area involves contributions to a social welfare organization such as the MSA, this agricultural area is less than half of the Minimum Installation Area (SMI) but greater than or equal to 1/8 of SMI or if the person exercises non-salaried agricultural activity requiring a working time of at least 150 hours and less than 1,200 hours per year.

This situation allows agricultural retirees to continue to work in order to obtain an additional income, or people with a small area to market their products, but without being socially recognized.

The peasant confederation demands that farmers settled be recognized as peasants by right (63 000 in 2012) because this status limits access to rights such as retirement and illness, only the accident at work is covered . Sourceschange the code
