House of Korea


The House of Korea (Hangul: 한국 의 집, Hanja: 韓國 之 家, Korea House) is a place to experience Korean cuisine or experience traditional Korean culture. It has been controlled by the Foundation for the Protection of Cultural Property. History

The place of the house in Korea was the residence of a great scholar, Park Paeng-nyun, who conducted his academy at the royal institution during Joseon in the 15th century.

In 1980, Shin Eung-soo, the owner of important properties on Korean architecture, built the house in Korea in imitation of Gyeongbokgung and officially opened in 1981.
