Spike y Chester

Spike and Chester are cartoon characters from Looney Tunes.

They are a pair of dogs with big differences: Spike is a gray bulldog, with a red sweater, hat Bombin, very strong, that could knock his opponent down. While Chester is a small yellow dog that follows Spike everywhere and takes him as his idol.

Spike and Chester appeared in two short films directed by animator Friz Freleng. The first in 1952 Tree for Two. In it, Spike is encouraged by Chester to hit The Wildcat, but every time he is about to do so, a black panther (escaping a zoo) appears in Sylvester's place, hitting the dog. When Chester decides to see who hits Spike, he finds only Sylvester, whom he hits. At the end of the story, Spike and Chester have changed roles: Spike is the flatterer, and Chester the strong.

The second chapter (1954) was Dr. Jerkyl's Hyde, where Spike (here called Alfie), in the cartoon again appears Sylvester, who becomes a feline monster by drinking a potion.
