TAS (Motorfit)

TAS is a German historical brand of motorcycles.

The company name was: Triumph-Ass Fahrradwerk AG, Saarbrücken.

TAS was one of the hundreds of German brands that produced 20 motorcycles in the first half of the years. The first models were presented in 1924. It was also one of the few brands that survived the year 1925, because then more than 150 brands stopped their production. That TAS survived was possible through collaboration with the French company Gnome et Rhône, of which the 173 and 248cc two-stroke engines and 346 and 498cc side-lockers were also involved. From 1929, MAG engines were also built. In 1931, TAS also had to cease production.
