Antonio Esquivel


Antonio Esquivel, also known as Tony Esquivel, (Bandera, Texas, February 13, 1862-Elmendorf, Texas, 1935) was an American rider, son of a Spanish father and a Polish mother. He was one of the original members of the Buffalo Bill show called the Buffalo Bill Wild West Show, from 1883 to 1893, and again, from 1902 to 1905. He also worked in a timber company, training ponies for playing the polo and occasionally a translator, as he was able to speak in Spanish, English, Polish, Sioux and other languages, his brother Joe Esquivel was also part of the Buffalo Bill show.
