The Fury is a fictional character from the video game saga Metal Gear, is a member of the Cobra Unit.
Better known as the "soldier of the flame" among his compatriots of the Soviet Union. In 1942 The Boss called him to become part of the Cobra unit, was one of the founders of the unit, although we do not know the special qualities that The Fury had to be called by The Boss.
After the Second World War, the unit charged was dismantled and all its members were divided by different places. The Fury returned to Russia, where he was training and preparing to be a true cosmonaut. He finally got it and they assigned him a space mission. However everything did not go well in his journey through space. In the middle of the trip he suffered an accident that caused the ship to suffer serious damage. This caused The Fury to be exposed to high temperatures and suffered many serious burns. When he was re-entering the Earth's atmosphere, The Fury saw the earth in flames, although it was assumed that everything was part of a hallucination because the entire ship was wrapped in gigantic flares. As a result of witnessing this, The Fury went haywire and became completely obsessed with fixing the earth in thunderous flames.
Surprisingly, The Fury survived the entire space crash, though it did not come out unscathed. From this moment The Fury was forced to wear a special suit that protected him from his own flames, the same suit incorporated a flight system "jetpack". He was also equipped with a flamethrower that he himself modified; this one did not use fuel like the other flamethrowers, but used liquid hydrogen.
Later the Boss reunited the cobra unit during the virtuous mission, and as a former member of this; The Fury was also called. He took part in the "Snake Eater" mission, in which he encountered Naked Snake in the Groznyj Grad tunnels, where they both met in a sombre and dark fight in which Snake won. Finally The Fury wrapped itself in its own flames until it removed the helmet, and the flames dissipated.
