The Karspitzbahn 2 is an 8er gondola track built by the Doppelmayr company for the Zeller Bergbahnen in the village of Rohr, near Zell am Ziller in the Ziller Valley. The cable car was built by Doppelmayr in 2010, replacing the old DSB, the Sportbahn. The cable car has a capacity of 2400 persons per hour and cabins from CWA Constructions from Switzerland. In the summer of 2010, the start of construction began to open the cableway in winter 2010/2011. The first part, the Wiesenalmbahn I, has been in use since the winter of 2008/2009. The construction of the Wiesenalmbahn II had already been taken into account in this cableway, because a foundation was already established at the Karspitzbahn 1 mountain station, the current cableway center station. The cable car garage is located in the valley station, but there are also a number of cabins for the first section in this section.
