Mário Haberfeld


Mário Haberfeld (São Paulo, January 25, 1975) is a Brazilian car driver. Mario began his career in 1995 career in the British Formula Ford he was fourth. Then he won the British Formula 3 championship in 1998, after which he could drive in Formula 3000 between 1999 and 2002. He made some good results but did not know his team mate Nick Heidfeld, who was in the same car for the Junior McLaren team. Director Ron Dennis was therefore not very impressed with his performance. He did not get to the bowl in Formula 1 on a number of tests with Stewart Grand Prix and Williams.

In 2003, he then went to the Champ Car for Mi-Jack Conquest Racing. His best result was fourth in his debut. A year later, he drove to Derrick Walker and again managed to drive in the top 5 a number of times. He did not find a team in 2005 but still fell for Timo Glock halfway through the year. He also ran a number of Grand-Am races for the Tuttle Team Racing.

He is currently running in the Le Mans Series for the Embassy Racing team, driving in a Radical SR9 Judd in the LMP2 category.
