Elysette

The Elysette The Elysette at night

The Elysette is the seat of the Walloon government. The building is located in the Walloon capital of Namur.

The nickname Élysette dates from the term of office of Guy Spitaels, who held good ties with the French government, which is located in the Élysée in Paris.

The building houses the offices of the Walloon Prime Minister. It is located on the right bank of the river Maas in the former municipality of Jambes, nowadays part of the city of Namur.

The building overlooks the Hospice Saint-Gilles, seat of the Walloon Parliament, located on the left bank of the Meuse, near Grognon, the point where the Meuse and the Samber coincide. Interior and gardens

Inside the building is decorated with paintings by Pierre Paul.

In the gardens there is an image of Jean-Michel Folon, called "Quelqu'un" (Somebody). 50° 27′ 39″ NB, 4° 52′ 5″ OL
