For 4 decades the visual arts have had in the Sala El Farol a suitable place for the realization of exhibitions in Valparaíso. Its location (in the heart of the city), tradition and permanent programming constitute a center of great relevance, which together with showcase emerging and consecrated creators, has been the main stage of the National Contest of Art and Young Poetry, which with its 28 versions stands as an inescapable benchmark at the national level. The trajectory has earned him the recognition of artists and various entities, such as the Citizens' organization for Valparaíso, which recently named the Sala El Farol as a valuable place of the city.
