Tonic is a jazz music festival held in the city of Guadalajara, Mexico. In its 2008 edition it produced a total of 120 events including concerts, conferences, round tables, exhibitions, radio programs, Web, film cycles, production of record material, documentaries, artists-in-residence, clinics, master classes taught by musicians guests and theoretical / practical courses of contemporary music. The festival emerged in 2004 as a response to the imminent and rapid growth of Jazz culture in the city of Guadalajara. The response of the assistance since the first edition was strong for the important growth of both the festival and jazz culture in this city, which has now become a platform for jazz musicians around the world.
