Arahael, who means "wise king" in the Sindarin language, is a fictional character of the legendary J. R. R. Tolkien. It is a dúnadan, son of Aranarth, the first captain of the North Dúnedain, and therefore grandson of Arvedui, the last king of Arthedain. History
He was born in the year 2012 of the Third Age of the Sun in Rivendell and was raised there. From there, all the captain's sons were raised in Rivendell.
After the death of his father in 2106, Arahael became the second captain of the North Dúnedain. During the time that he occupied like captain, the called Vigilante Peace began. He died in the year 2177, being succeeded by his son Aranuir. Bibliography
