Johann Wilhelm Friedrich Höfling (Neudrossenfeld, Bavaria, December 30, 1802 - April 5, 1853) was a German Lutheran theologian.
He studied philology and theology in Erlangen, and did his exam in Würzburg in 1823 and thereafter in Nuremberg in 1827. In 1831 he became a doctor in philosophy in Tübingen. In 1833 he became a professor of practical theology at the University of Erlangen.
Höfling was specialized in scientific literature and worked with Gottlieb von Harless (1806-1879).
