Luiz Alberto Maguito Vilela (Jataí, January 24, 1949) is a Brazilian politician and lawyer.
He has been a state, federal and vice-governor of the state of Goiás. In 1994 he became governor with a comfortable majority. He would leave the position to appear in 1998, and win, to senator. Comply until 2007.
In 2006 he presents himself to the Goiás governorship elections, obtaining 41% of the votes, leaving behind Alcides Rodrigues, current governor. However, Rodrigues did not get more than 50% of the votes. Therefore, on October 29, Vilela and Rodrigues will face each other in a second round so that one of them will be elected governor for the period 2007-2010.
