Tingo pool.
Tingo, also called the Villa of Tingo, is a town belonging to the District of Arequipa, in the Province of Arequipa, Department of Arequipa, Peru. It is located south of the city of Arequipa.
The village stands out for its spa, which contains a small lagoon where people can bathe to relax. Around the lagoon, there are some small recreational sites, as well as a food service in the middle of the street.
A gorge called Tingo Grande is located within the area.
The village has links to some of Peru's history. There was born Colonel Mariano Bustamante, fighter in the War of the Pacific and hero of the Battle of Arica; he spent his first years the sentenced government advisor Vladimiro Montesinos; and lived the doctor Jacobo Hunter, who years after his death was honored to put with his name the district where the Tingo was located.
