Morton Auction House

Morton Auction House opened its doors in 1988 as an antique gallery. In that same year they held their first auction. Since then, the best collections of art and antiquities have passed through the Hall, which are now with private collectors and in museums in Mexico and abroad.

They have specialists in the areas of Antiquities, Modern and Contemporary Art, Jewelry, Books and Documents Ancient and Contemporary and Decorative Art.

In this important auction house have moved pieces of artists of international and historical significance such as Salvador Dalí, Diego Rivera, Frida Khalo, David Alfaro Siqueiros, José Luis Cuevas, Andy Warhol, Rufino Tamayo, Joaquín Sorolla and Bastida and Pablo Picasso among many others. In the sculpture, pieces by Enrique Carbajal "Sebastian", Carol Miller, Jorge Marín, Juan Fernando Olaguíbel and many more have been auctioned. Institutes and museums have used the services of Morton to acquire their collections. Several times the pieces auctioned have ended up in collections of Conaculta, SEP, INAH, and others to be exhibited in important museums as national patrimony.

In addition to Mexico City, Morton is headquartered in the United States with Morton Kuehnert located in Houston, Texas.

The prestige that this auction house has achieved is thanks to its good service and to the unique pieces that would be almost impossible to obtain or know of its existence, such as antiques from Egypt, India, China, Greece and Russia, for example. Or the original documents signed by historical figures such as Miguel Hidalgo and Costilla or presidents Álvaro Obregón and Lázaro Cárdenas, among others. As well as first class jewelry in diamonds, rubies, emeralds, platinum, gold and other precious stones and metals.

Each week you can find different collections to be auctioned.
