A Wurst Mart, sometimes referred to as Wurstmart or Wurst Markt, is a variation of fish fry that can be found predominantly in the German-American communities of the United States. The Wurst marts offer their culinary events because of the funds paid by the Church with the aim of raising, in these cases people attend pay for a buffet of sausages and other dishes. The word Wurst Mart comes from the German word "Wurstmarkt" which means sausage market. The Wurst Marts are located in rural areas where there are German-American communities in the West, particularly around St. Louis.
