Can Guixiang


Kan Guixian (阚 桂香) was born on July 6, 1940 in Qiyi, Henan Province, China. She is pupil of the teacher Tian Xiuchen and successor of the style Chen of Taichi Chuan. She is a professor in the Wushu department of the Beijing Physical Education University and has the 9th Duan category.

He graduated from Beijing Physical Education University in 1965, is a Wushu National Judge and one of the founders of Peking's Chen Taichi Chuan Institute.

In 1967 he married the equally renowned Master Men Huifeng, elected in 1995 as one of the "Ten Great Academicians of Wushu," and both serve as professors at the University to this day. As an expert in China of Wushu / Taichi, he was sent to Japan to teach the special Tai Chi series of competition. After that, she was invited to teach Taichi and become a judge in competitions. She was invited to Australia, Switzerland, USA, Norway, Spain, Belgium, France, Indonesia, Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong among other countries.

Together with his teacher, Tian Xiuchen, he developed the Simplified Form of 36 Chen Style Moves. Later he was also in charge of the composition of the Chen Style Competition Form. He has trained excellent martial sportsmen and coaches both inside and outside of China.

Nowadays, Kan Guixiang dedicates his life to enriching and transmitting Taichi art all over the world.
