Jordi Portabella i Calvete (Barcelona, ​​January 10, 1961) is a Spanish politician, member of the ERC and councilor of the Barcelona City Council until the last municipal elections.

Bachelor in Biology from the University of Barcelona and Master in Environmental Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, has been an Environmental Consultant and Professor of Environment at the International University of Catalonia.

From 1999 to 2007 he was deputy mayor of the City Council with responsibilities in multiple areas of government: especially in economic issues (Tourism, Foreign Economic Promotion, Trade, Markets), urban planning (Urban Landscape, Bicycle) and animal policy (Zoo and protection of animals). He was also president of the Commission of Economic Promotion of the Barcelona consistory during the tripartite government between PSC-ICV-ERC that governed the city between 2003 and 2007, but after the bad results obtained by ERC in the municipal elections of 2007 ERC left the pact of municipal government continuing only Jordi Portabella as spokesman of the municipal group of ERC. After the municipal elections of 2011, in which ERC (coalition with the political party Democràcia Catalana) lost three of its four councilors, Jordi Portabella was the only councilor of the formation in the consistory of the city of Barcelona.
