W.Th. Ellerman

IBM Office in Amsterdam, 1976 design by Ellerman.

Wolbert Thomas (Wout) Ellerman (Emmen, 21 November 1936 - The Hague, August 3, 1997) was a Dutch architect and urban architect. Ellerman graduated from the former TH Delft in 1968 and went to work at Lucas & amp; Niemeijer, nowadays Ellerman, Lucas, van Vugt. His famous works include the IBM Netherlands headquarters in Amsterdam (Riekerpolder), the Twin Peaks at the Zuidas in the same city and the Babylon shopping center next to The Hague Central Station. The plan for the modernization of the Stadshart Amstelveen in 1991 was also out of hand. His plan for expansion of the former city hall of The Hague to Mayor De Monchyplein was never carried out: the responsible deputy Adri Duivesteijn saw more in the new building at Spui.
