Melchiorre Delfico (Teramo, Abruzzo, 1 August 1744 - ibidem, June 2, 1835) was a Neapolitan economist. Biography

He was educated in Naples. He devoted himself especially to the study of jurisprudence and political economy, and his numerous publications exerted a great practical influence in the correction and extinction of many abuses. Under Joseph Bonaparte, Delfico became a State Councilor, a position he held until the restoration of Ferdinand IV, when he was appointed chairman of the commission of the archives.
