Basilica of San Salvatore

The Basilica of San Salvatore in Spoleto (Perugia) is an example of the 8th century Langobardian architecture. The church is located in Spoleto, at that time the capital of the Duchy of Spoleto.

The church as seen today is largely a refurbishment of an older church built in the fourth century. There are many spolia in the building.

In 2011 UNESCO decided to place this World Heritage List as part of the World Heritage Site of Longobarden in Italy.
