Darby & Tarlton

The duo Darby & amp; Tarlton, was a group of hillbilly and country blues, of great success between 1927 and 1935, authors of some of the most classic subjects of the country.

It was composed by guitarist and singer, Tom Darby, born in 1884, of Cherokee descent, and died in 1971; and Jimmie Tarlton, born in 1892 and died in 1979. He was a student of Hawaiian guitarist Frank Ferera and developed a blues-laden style to the point that it was believed for a long time that was black until, as far back as the 1960s, it was rediscovered.

They recorded a large number of albums, compiled by the Bear Family label. Notes Bibliography
