High School (film)


High School is an American documentary from 1969 directed by Frederick Wiseman and is considered to be one of the first films in the cinema vérité genre. The film showed the daily business of a high school in Philadelphia. In Philadelphia, the film film was not shown for a long time as it would give a too negative picture of the city's school system. The film ended at number 13 in a list of Best High School movies according to Entertainment Weekly and was recorded in 1991 in the National Film Registry.
