The X-301 Experimental Hunt is a spacecraft in the Stargate SG-1 science fiction program.
The X-301 fighter looks like a glider of death Goa'uld and an F-117. The X-301 was Earth's first effort to invest in Goa'uld technology. In the original design components of two Death Planners were used that almost killed their passengers with a destruction program during the first test flight. However, later X-302 and X-303 were developed. Unlike the X-302, the X-301 was little more than a Goa'uld death glider on which human technology was incorporated. Earth engineers were unable to understand many of their systems (particularly energy weapons), forcing them to remove or replace anything they could not operate. As such, the X-301 was fitted with a pair of AIM-120 AMRAAM air-to-air missiles enhanced with Naqahdah and modified with a shield modulator to attack a Goa'uld ship through its defenses. The technicians who analyzed the Death Planner did not discover the hidden device calling Apophis. After the rescue of Jack O'Neill and Teal'c, the X-301 prototype was abandoned in favor of the X-302.
