The Enhanced Cartridge Interface, Abbreviated ECI (Enhanced Cartridge Interface) was a 14-pin extension to the cartridge slot of the 8-bit Atari XE computers. It allowed external devices to access the data lines and the system bus. It is functionally similar and software compatible with the Atari XL Parallel Bus Interface (PBI).
The ECI is present on Atari 65XE European computers, Atari 130XE and Atari 800XE. Among others, it is supported by the following peripherals:
