The European Festival of Young Choirs (German Europäisches Jugendchorfestival, EJCF) is a festival for young choirs mainly from Europe. It was held in 1992, 1995, 1998, 2001, 2004, 2007 and 2010 (Basel).
It is a highly appreciated event of the highest level and with choirs from all parts of Europe. The first guests came from South Africa, and in 2004 came the "Santa Cecilia Youth Choir" of Riversul (state of São Paulo, Brazil). The choir of the host is the Choir of the Children Singers of Basel, whose director is Beat Raaflaub and is at the same time an artistic adviser of the presidency of the festival.
