Evangelical Church The Pillar is an evangelical church church in Lelystad. The organization bases its church services on the community concept of the American Willow Creek Community Church, founded by Bill Hybels. History
In 1977, predecessor Gerard Langhenkel started a municipality in Lelystad. In 1979, they decided to use their own church building, De Ark. Due to a steady growth in the number of visitors, they left in 2000 to De Pijler building with 1,047 seats. In 2017, an average of 1100 people, including more than 250 children and teenagers, visited the services every week.
In 2007, the church broke down with predecessor founder Gerard Langhenkel and became a new predecessor. Langhenkel started a new congregation, the evangelical community of Nehemiah. Externe link 52° 29′ 36″ NB, 5° 28′ 59″ OL
