Sacrilege. Auto for silhouettes is a play written by Ramón María del Valle-Inclán.

Argument

The piece revolves around a group of bandits facing one of them, El Sordo de Triana, whom they accuse of being a traitor. He is condemned to death by those who were his. Ask for confession, and Father Veritas pretends to be a priest to simulate the sacrament. But the captain ends up with the life of El Sordo. Characters Publications and Representations

The work was published in 1927. That same year, the author included it in the collection Altarpiece of greed, lust and death.

In 1995 José Luis Gómez put the show on stage, touring Spain, finishing at the Teatro de la Abadía in Madrid, along with three of the other four pieces that make up the Altarpiece of greed, lust and death, with Pedro Casablanc (El Sordo), Joaquim Candeias - later replaced by Pepe Viyuela - and Alberto Jiménez (Father Veritas).
