Valuable Autonomous University of Puebla


Authentic University of Puebla (Spanish: Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla) is a public university in the Puebla Mexican city.

The university was opened in 1943 by Governor Maximino Ávila Camacho, although her predecessor has been in existence since 1578. In the 1970s, the university was repeatedly the scene of student protests. After the student Joel Arriaga Navarro was killed by unknowns, protests took place with another six students shot by security forces.

Well-known alumni (graduates) are John Holloway, Jesús Martínez and Gustavo Díaz Ordaz.
