The Dickin Medal is the highest British award for animals.

The Dickin Medal is awarded by the People's Dispensary for Sick Animals (PDSA) to animals who have held heroically in wartime. The medal has been awarded since 1943 on the initiative of Maria Dickin. The medal is also called the Victoria Cross for animals.
