The Vineyard of Fragrant Drapes (V.F.D.), which was named somewhat late (to try to avoid its connection with V.F.D.) is a fictional vineyard mentioned in the autobiography of Lemony Snicket. It was the place where Snicket and Beatrice planned to marry. It was also the place where Jerome Miseria and Esmé got married.
Snicket's autobiography includes two letters, one sent to Snicket and the other to Sordidez, informing both of them of their wedding arrangements. Both cards look similar, but Snicket's letter contains a message written in Sebald Code, telling Jerome not to come to the wedding in the vineyard for any reason because of a suspected and anticipated fire attempt by enemies.
