Frederik Hendrik van Kempen

Frederik Hendrik van Kempen (Voorschoten, September 7, 1879 - Rotterdam, October 30, 1966) was a Dutch mayor.

Van Kempen was a son of Antonius E. van Kempen, including the director of the Royal Dutch Factory of Gold and Silver Works and the Lower Chamberlain, and Anna G.A.H. from Hoytema. He began his career at the secretarial office and was the deputy secretary of Bennebroek (1905-1909).

He was then Mayor of Montfoort and Willeskop (1909-1915) and Schoonhoven (1915-1924). From 1924-1941 he was the last mayor of the former municipality of Hillegersberg. Shortly before the annexation of Hillegersberg by Rotterdam, the name of the (Extended) Bergsingel was changed to Mayor F.H. from Kempensingel. In Montfoort, the F.H. from Kempenstraat to him named.
