H-60 is a general term often used for a large family of US Army helicopters. However, these aircraft all use an additional area code, in addition to the H code, to apply the 1962 United States Tri-Service aircraft designation system to the United States. has no aircraft named only "H-60". The associated prefix (eg U, M, V) simply serves as a complement to the serial letter (A / B / C ... or H as here) and most devices are often so modified that they encompass several series of letters. So, the Sikorsky company designed the S-70, but developed it as the UH-60 to meet the demands of the US military.
