Piatti (vehicles)

Piatti is a historic brand of auxiliaries and scooters.

Piatti Anc. Ets. D'Ieteren Brothers S.A. Brussels (1950-1958).

Vincenzo Piatti first constructed the Mini Motor auxiliary engine and from 1950 he produced the Piatti scooter. It had a 124 cc one-cylinder two stroke engine.

Piatti built a self-supporting body making the engine block no longer just in front of the rear wheel. As a result, road traffic improved a lot, and the cooling was much better than other scooters.

The Piatti scooters were never produced in Italy, but known only at D'Ieteren in Brussels and Cyclemaster in Hayes. Later, Piatti developed two-stroke engines for English AMC.
