Plàudite Teatre


Plàudite Teatre is a non-profit association created in 1998 in the city of Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona) with the aim of promoting activities related to the world of Culture, Art and Training through Performing Arts. . The neighborhood of Santa Eulàlia -with a broad theatrical tradition- and its Cultural Center are the scenarios that serve as a melting pot between the association and its artistic expression.

Since its birth, Plàudite Teatre has developed its activities in two major areas: Creation and Formation.

Plàudite Teatre makes the Performing Arts a tool of social cohesion and connection between the different groups and institutions of the city creating networks among which cohabitate the same space, through its imprint of professionalism, Theater of Movement and a contemporary poetic plasticity.

Pludit is the imperative of the Latin verb "plaudo" which means applaud. This word was used by some characters from the Plauto comedy at the end of the performance to request the applause of the audience and indicate that the work had ended. (3rd century BC).
