Punta Arenas beach

Punta Arenas is the westernmost point of Isla de Margarita, in the Nueva Esparta state, northeast of Venezuela. It is also a beach of fine white sand and home to many of the local fishermen. The Fishermen's Huts extend along a beach that leads to a point of sand that gives name to both the town and the beach.

The beach stretches for 1,500 meters (0.9 miles), with clear and calm waters and some trees. It is located 70 kilometers west of Porlamar, on the peninsula of Macanao. It is possible to dive under the water and see the clams and starfish on the coast.
