St. John's Cathedral (Korean: 분당 요한 성당) is a Catholic church located in Bundang-dong, Bundang-gu, Seongnam, South Korea. It uses both a modern style and a gothic style architecture. It has a replica of the Pieta of Michelangelo, one of the only three in the world officially authorized by the Holy See. The cathedral also has a unique spiral staircase (instead of conventional stairs) which features a mural that accompanies a spiral that begins with the biblical story of creation in Genesis, at the foot of the catwalk, including the events of the life of Jesus, his passion and ending with illustrations of the Acts of the Apostles.
