Acceptance up to the net assets, formerly known as acceptance under the benefit of inventory, is a French law that allows the heirs of a succession to avoid inheritance of debts, when they are unaware of the composition inheritance.

The heirs are only liable for the debts of the estate within the limits of the estate assets. They can not inherit more debts than profits. This provision is governed by Articles 793 to 810 of the Civil Code. To learn more change the code Related Articleschange the code edit code
