HTTP 301 Moved Permanently is an HTTP status code that indicates that the host has been able to communicate with the server but that the requested resource has been moved to another address permanently. This error should not be confused with code 410 indicating that the page was deleted or with error 404 indicating that the page was not found. In any case the host was able to establish communication with the server because it was the latter that returned the message with the error. It should not be confused with the "server not found" error displayed by some browsers indicating that the host could not communicate with the server because it was not found.
