Katie Viqueira


Margarita María Viqueira Gabarain (Buenos Aires, October 19, 1964), better known as Katie Viqueira, is an Argentine tango and folk singer. Katie Viqueira is a speech therapist from the University of Buenos Aires and is the vocal director of musical comedies and television series for Disney, among others. In 2005 he won the Independent Music Award. He premiered the most popular tango operas of Piazzolla in the United States and Japan.

She is currently a vocal coach for Abel Pintos, Julieta Díaz and Chayanne, among other figures of international renown. She is the director of the CAV (Vocal Art Center), founded in 2011. She has toured the USA, Russia and Japan receiving the best critics for her work.

She has recorded three CDs, and others as a guest artist. She has also performed in several plays, such as El mundo mágico de María Elena Walsh, making her an icon in the children's world.
