Liuqin

Liuqin

Liuqin is a Chinese short-handled lute very similar to pipa, but in soprano version because it is much smaller. Lutheriedit code

There are several variations depending on whether the piriform sound box (flattened) is pierced with gills covered or not rosettes, depending on whether the head of the anklet is decorated with such and such sculpture and that the back is engraved or not.

The neck is not distinguishable from the sound box which has a large number of frets on the wooden soundboard. It is extended by a large curved peg with four large pegs. There are four strings made of silk or metal. To code the code

It is usually tuned to Sol-Ré-Sol-Ré although tuning of the violin or mandolin can be used (Sol-Ré-La-Mi). Unlike pipa, strings are plucked with a plectrum (and not with bare fingers or tabs). Linkschange the code
