Manishutusu

Manishutusu was the third king of Sumer of the Akkadian dynasty. He was son of Sargon of Acad and brother of his predecessor Rimush, to whose death he governed, towards the XXIII century a. C.

During his reign he continued the situation of general rebellion that had arisen at the end of his father's reign, which his brother confronted harshly. The reign of Manishutusu had a certain parallelism with that of his brother since he also had to face those same rebellions, among which those of the peoples of the north and east of Empire stand out. For these years the threat of the Hurrians is mentioned for the first time.

It is known a military campaign that took place in the Persian Gulf, as well as the granting of land to its servers.

He was finally killed, as was his brother. His successor was his son, Naram-Sin.
