SECLI

The Secretariat of Publishers for the Liturgy (SECLI) is an EIG that brings together most of the editors of texts and music for the ecclesiastical liturgy. It was created in 1991 with the agreement of the Meeting of Bishops of France; the general secretariat of the episcopate is represented. Among the participating publishers: Le Seuil, Schola Cantorum, Bayard Group, Fleurus, Mame, Le Cerf.

Beyond being a mere copyright holder, the SECLI has a policy of training new authors and new composers of liturgical music thanks, among other things, to annual meetings since 2005. It also publishes manuals recommendations for authors and composers who intend to serve the liturgy.

SECLI has created a widely used codification of religious songs and texts that accurately assess the nature of a song or text and its use in ritual. Main article: Codification of the SECLI. change the code
